Use the VDE-300T transmitter and VDE-300R receiver to extend touch-screen signals (VGA + RS-232 data) up to 300m. over low-cost CAT5/5e/6 UTP cable. The system allows the PC to be remotely sited away from the touch-screen terminal thereby increasing security and reliability. This makes the system ideal for public information kiosk, point-of-purchase and secure applications.

Up to 1280 x 1024 (SXGA) resolution may be displayed at the remote monitor depending on the type and quality of UTP cable used. A VGA loop-through on the transmitter unit is provided for simultaneous display of local and remote monitors. The RS-232 data handling is full duplex, bi-directional serial (Tx/Rx). The VDE-300 Transmitter and Receiver pair is software-free, pure hardware design and supports display plug & play and DDC2B functions. LEDs on both units indicate connection and system status. 5VDC is provided at the receiver to power a touch-screen controller if required. The units have a magnetic base for easy attachment to steel surfaces and a separate mounting plate for installations on non-magnetic surfaces.
