A unique feature of the Soloist-4111, edje-4111 and signEdje media players is their ability to run in frame-accurate synch. Any number of these HD and SD digital media players can be networked together to form a multi-channel system with all channels running in perfect, rock-solid, frame-accurate synchronisation.

How it works
One player is user-configured as a Master and all other players as Slaves. All players are networked together, via a standard 10/100 network switch, each having a unique fixed IP address. The Master player broadcasts a System Time Code beacon and the Slaves listen to and lock onto the beacon. Active cross-channel synchronisation, accurate to less than one frame, is constantly maintained. All players can be started, paused, stopped and played simply by controlling the Master player. One Master player and 'n' Slave players form a Synch Group. Several Synch Groups can co-exist on the same network. All Synch Groups can be controlled, configured and loaded with media remotely from one central PC, Mac or Linux system. No additional hardware or software is required to complete the system.

	A standard network switch connects a Master player and 2 Slave players driving projectors.

Media
All HD or SD media for all players must, of course, be encoded with the same MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 bit-rate and parameters, be frame-accurate and in identical playlists. Media, playlists and schedules are loaded from a PC, Mac or Linux system attached to the network. The system, once set up, can be run unattended and without a controlling computer.
