mediaHUB HD from Adtec Digital Inc. is a real-time, broadcast-quality MPEG-2 High Definition 1080i and 720P encoder. It is designed for contribution, distribution and studio applications. HD-SDI and SDI video input is standard along with Composite (SD) and an optional Firewire (SD) video input. Audio support includes multiple stereo MPEG Layer-2 and Dolby Digital audio encoding with optional Dolby 5.1 and Dolby-E pass-though. Control 9-pin RS422 (Sony Protocol) devices frame accurately for studio applications or operate the encoder in a 24x7x365 mode for distribution with constant capture. MediaHUB HD includes an HD-capable decoder and 750GB hard drive that provides a frame-accurate capture of files for studio applications, or provides and maintains a constant capture of your broadcast. It can even be used for High Definition time-delay applications.

Studio Applications:
mediaHUB HD is a real-time High Definition MPEG-2 video, MPEG and Dolby Digital audio encoder. With the ability to capture High Definition or Standard Definition video and multiple stereo audio streams in real-time from tape or NLE. mediaHUB HD allows users to view a live confidence decode of the video as well as audio track selection while capturing. The decoders advanced scaler provides up and down conversion of the encoded video to match the decode monitors resolution. When capture is completed, mediaHUB HD provides review, accept and many transfer options. Transfers can be made to the local host computer, a remote FTP server and directly to one or many Adtec or other video servers. mediaHUB HD includes frame accurate control of professional VTRs over serial RS-422 and VTRs or NLEs via the optional Standard Definition FireWire module.

ATSC, DVB and MPEG Distribution Applications:
Distribute excellent quality video and audio 24x7x365 with a constant capture of the distribution service. The user can define the record duration for each segment of the constant capture up to a maximum of 23:59:50:29 frames. Constant Capture can be used in HD or SD modes. Encoder redundancy options include 1+1 or n+1 when using Adtec's DTA-3050. The DTA also supports real time dynamic ATSC PSIP and DVB Table support including EIT.

Contribution Applications:
Set the encoder for SD MPEG-2 422 (422P@ML), SD 420 (MP@ML) or HD 1080i or 720P and egress the MPEG-2 Transport Stream via ASI or IP, all while maintaining a live decode and constant capture of your valuable contribution feed.
